The fantasy sports industry is just as competitive for the companies as it is for the teams that play it. With several big-name competitors owning a large share of the marketplace, fantasy football website Fanball re-launched with the hopes of catering to daily- and season-long fantasy sports players and gaining some market share.

The company decided to build a new website and re-launch the platform and brand in summer 2017. In order to compete with several large companies, Fanball turned to Frahm Digital to develop a mix of SEO strategy and public relations to build awareness among key audiences. 

Starting with technical optimization and a strategic content development plan, we helped Fanball double their organic search visits, from 6,449 to 13,632 over three months.

Simultaneously, we conducted targeted media outreach to help share Fanball’s story and position the company as a leader in the fantasy sports industry. Key placements included U.S. News and World Report, Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal and more, which helped garner over 25 million impressions.

Since Fanball is an membership-driven website, with the end goal of players signing up and participating in contests, we used a mix of creative technical SEO, linkbuilding and content development to achieve a contest participation rate of almost 20 percent.
